 Now it has been quite a long time since iOS 6 had been released, today I'm sharing a guide on how to jailbreak iOS 6 and iOS 6.0.1 on your iPhone, iPad or iTouch using the most popular tool to jailbreak iOS devices, Snowbreeze. By simply downloading the updated Snowbreeze 2.9.7, you can jailbreak iOS 6 on your iDevices easily. This will be a tethered jailbreak limited only to A4 devices. Below is the list of supported devices and then you can follow the simple steps to jailbreak your iOS 6 devices.

Jailbreak iOS 6/6.0.1 Using Snowbreeze

Step 1 : Download Snowbreeze from the given links and start it.

Step 2 : Click on the blue arrow and drag or use browse button to select your iOS 6 or 6.0.1 IPSW file.

Step  3: After you have selected your .ipsw file, Snowbreeze 2.9.7 will identify it.

Step 4 : After it has been identified, select “Expert Mood” followed by “Build IPSW”.

(If your iPhone relies on a unlock, proceed only by selecting “Baseband Preservation Mode” option instead of “Expert Mode”)

Step 5 : Click on the Blue button to continue, it will start building custom firmware.

Step 6 : After completing custom firmware process it will display a done message.

Step 7 : Enter DFU mood by following the on screen instructions

Hold Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds

Now release the Power button but continue holding the Home button for 10 more seconds

Your device should now be in DFU mode

Step 8 : After correctly following the instructions, it will display a message that your iPhone, iPod touch, iPad is in Pwned DFU state.

Step 9 : Start iTunes, click on your iOS device icon from the sidebar in iTunes. Now press and hold Left “Shift” button on the keyboard and then click on “Restore”.

Step 10 : Now you don’t need to do anything, just let iTunes work its magic. iTunes will now complete restore process. After the installation it will reboot.

Congrats you have successfully jailbroken your iPhone 4,3GS, iPod touch and iPad on iOS 6/6.0.1

Tethered Mood Boot

As of now, there is no untethered jailbreak for iOS 6/6.0.1, so you will have to boot your iOS device into a tethered jailbroken state.

Step 1 : Start iBooty and select your iOS device.

Step 2 : Click the Start button and follow the on screen instructions to enter in to DFU mood.

Step 3 :

Hold Power and Home buttons for 10 seconds

Now release the Power button but continue holding the Home button for 10 more seconds

You device should now be in DFU mode

Step 4 : After you have completed the DFU mood instructions, your iOS device will be booted in a jailbroken tethered mood on iOS 6 or iOS 6.0.1
